Couple VHF antenna to HD-9022I have a VHF antenna I am hoping to couple to a Winegard HD-9022. What cable should I use to connect the VHF to the HD-9022? The first thing that came to mind was a piece of 300 ohm twinlead wire from the VHF antenna to the top connections of the HD-9022. My concerns having this 300 ohm wire endure Minnesota weather and finding a place to buy a short piece of this wire. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Re: Couple VHF antenna to HD-9022Good morning cho232 -
You can use a piece of RG6/U coax cable with a Winegard TV-2900 outdoor matching transformer on each end. There will not be enough signal loss to worry about and you attach the cable to the mast with electrical tape or plastic wire ties.
Re: Couple VHF antenna to HD-9022That's a good idea, I'll give that a try. Thanks for your help.
