where aim?Hi to all, I got a dish 500 and a Winegard antenna came with it, my question is, where should it be aimed? the same as the dish? does it matter the location versus the dish? obove the dish? I'm sorry but I know nothing about the winegard antenna. your help would be greatly appreciated...
Re: where aim?To aim your antenna, you will want to enter your address into the link I have posted below.
http://www.antennaweb.org/aw/Address.aspx This website will give you an Azimuth angle for each of the channels that are near you. Generally, the narrow end of the antenna is the front of the antenna. One important thing is that the antenna should not be installed between the satellite dish and the satellite or you could lose your DISH Network channels when you install the antenna. Please let me know which model antenna you have and if you are interested in a how to work with Azimuth angles.
Re: where aim?THANKS FOR ANSWERING BY QUESTION, i VISITED THE SITE AND GOT THE DEGREES FOR THE AIMING, ANOTHER THING, I NOTICED THAT MY ANTENNA DOES NOT HAVE THE THING STICKING OUT IT IS JUST LIKE LONG SIDES AND THE STAND. IS THERE A MODEL LIKE THAT? OR AM I MISSING SOMETHING? i LOOKED FOR THE MODEL NUMBER OR SOMETHING AND IT LOOKS LIKE IT HAD A STICKER LIKE BUT ITS GONE, SO I DON'T HAVE A MODEL.
