power suppyI wish to hook up 2 ss2000 antennas with a power passive coupler and run 1 cable line into my house does the power supply that comes with the ss2000 have enough power to drive both ss2000
Re: power suppyGood morning Marvin -
The power supply should have enough power. When coupling 2 antennas together as you propose it is possible to create multiple signals on channels and your system may not work properly since the digital tuners will not know which channel to lock onto.. In that case you will have to run separate cables from each antenna to each TV set and the use an A/B switch at the TV to select which antenna signal you wish to watch.
Re: power suppyI wouldn't do it.
Power supplies are generally only big enough for the job at hand. A manufacturer is not going to put a 5 amp power supply on a circuit that only requires 1/2 an amp. Read the top of the power supply and then read the owners manual for the product for which you wish to hook it up to and see if it can handle double the amount of draw on the power supply.
