I have a MetroStar with the built in preamp. Would it hurt the unit if I turned off the power to the preamp when the TV is not being used? This means the power to the antenna would be cycled on and off a few times during each day?

Good morning letitsnow -

I am waiting for an answer back on your previous question. You should be fine to unplug or turn off the power to the preamp when it is not in use. Obviously turning on/off power does have the opportunity of providing a surge to the unit, but this is rare.
