Good afternoon Piggie!

You can power a preamplifier 150 feet with a copper clad center conductor RG6/U cable, 300 feet with a solid copper center conductor and 1000 feet of RG11/U cable. As I'm sure you are aware you have to consider the RF loss of the cable your are using and make sure you have enough gain to over come the RF loss plus the AC/DC loop resistance.
