I cannot receive any CBS stations.

I cannot receive WHBFDT in Davenport, IA. My zip code is 52601. I have what believe is probably an 8200 antenna. Beckman’s TV and Appliance said the antenna is OK. They however replace my AP8700 preamp with an AP8275. I was told it has more gain than my old preamp. When I had the old preamp up (AP8700) I could sometimes receive WHBFDT 4.1 or 4.2. After they replaced the amp I can never receive it. I makes no difference where I point the antenna to. Any suggestions as to what I can do?

Good afternoon Dave -

WHBF-TV will be going back to broadcasting their digital signals on channel 4’s frequency June 12th. Right now they are broadcasting their digital signal on channel 58’s frequency with a code in the signal that tells the TV set to display channel 4.1, 4.2 etc. They are also at times reducing their channel 58 signal strength while they are getting ready for the switch over on June 12th. Hopefully this will all be settled June 13th.
