Although we chiefly rely on our Dish 722k for our TV viewing, I wanted to be able to get our locals for those times when weather cuts our sat signal to zero. For the past few weeks Dish and our local NBC affiliate have been at odds regarding contract renewal so Dish has cut them off our local channel list. Bottom line, we've been relying on the antenna for all access to NBC since then.
Our house is brand new, we’ve been living in it only a couple of months now. I'll admit to knowing little about antennas but I did use the Antennaweb app to select the SS-3000 as the best choice for our location (37336). It has given us a great signal, I've been very pleased with its performance. The guy who moved our Dish antenna also installed the SS-3000 using, to me, a dizzying array of splitters to allow us to add it as an option to the 722k as well as a second TV also fed from the 722k. It seemed to work fine when he left. I’ll be calling him back in next week but wanted to post this for any feedback from Winegard beforehand.
All this has been to say that occasionally we'll have no audio on any antenna channel although the video will be just fine. The past couple of weeks it's worked consistently well on all channels (both audio and video) but tonight I've got zero audio on local channels on the antenna but a brilliant picture on NBC (and all other locals)! Since this started happening, I’ve tried to note other conditions that might indicate the problem but so far haven’t been able to notice any commonalities other than the missing audio. I’ve found no loose connections and the power injector always seems to ok, at least the LED is red & I’ve never seen it otherwise. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
