fm trap adjust

Postby linwood » Mon Oct 17, 2011 7:52 am

I have some irregularity with tv channels 2-12. I have a ap-8275 preamp. There is a fm radio tower within 1/4 mile of my antenna, freq 104.1. How to adjust the fm trap from the stated approx 108 frequency to 104.1?

Good morning linwood -

You will require a signal level meter, spectrum analyzer, or a FM tuner with an analog meter so you can see exactly when you are reducing the 104.1 MHz frequency. There is no way to watch the picture to see if you are reducing the 104.1 frequency. You will much better off going on the internet and searching for a fixed FM trap with 20-30dB of attenuation and install it between the AP-8275 preamplifier and the antenna.

Give me a call if you wish and we can discuss your situation.

Cordially,
