Antenna Recommendation - 95377

Postby rgmilla » Fri Aug 26, 2011 4:39 pm

Location: Antonio Loop, Tracy, CA 95377
Was told that this area is situated on hard to get decent Free Digital OTA channels (HD is optional) without Outdoor TV antenna. From my search, I found several Local Stations but the main Stations are located over 50miles away.

Been looking around for the best Outdoor TV Antenna that work with the area, but got confused with many different brandnames and no local seller in the area as well.

Planning to mount it on the roof top, 2 stories house, while FM is nice to get but not the main goal.
Area is well populated with high trees but they are evenly spread out and only a few is higher than roof top. I really cant tell if there is line in sight to the Stations.

The house had Dish service and Comcast in the past. I see a 2pairs RG6(total of 4) cable running from the lower gutter to the box out side the house where there are 2 splitters that split the signals to 4 bed rooms and 1 living room. Hoping the antenna could deliver good signal to all rooms.

I appreciate if you could provide me with:
1. Type of Outdoor TV Antenna, multiple models are welcome.
2. Roof top mount kit matching.
3. Any splitters or amplifiers may be needed.

Thanks,

RGM

Good morning rgmilla,

According to the www.tvfool.com website for Antonio Loop Tracy CA, 95377 you should have Line OF Sight (LOS) to the Sacramento TV channels. You will notice that all of the major Sacramento TV stations are broadcasting their digital TV signal on a Real TV channel between channel 9 and 48 at a compass heading of 345 degrees. The antenna that Winegard would recommend for you to receive these TV channels only would be the HD7697P.

If you wish to receive these TV stations and using a TV antenna rotor try for some of the other TV channels in the area plus FM then use the HD7084P antenna. In either case use an AP-8700 preamplifier to amplify your TV signal and power your antenna system. To mount the antenna on home you can use either the SW-0010 3’ tripod or a SW-0012 gable mount. You will also need a TB-0005 5’ mast with each mount.

If you wish give me a call and we can discuss your situation in greater detail.

Cordially,

Hans Rabong
