Selecting the Right Pre-amp

How does one go about deciding what pre-amplifier they need from the many offered by Winegard?

It seems many of the specs are similar: average gain and noise, but max input is somewhat different.

Is there a ranking of most powerful to least powerful, or some other criteria that determines the practicality of each pre-amp?
