AP-8700 AC Adapter HUMS

Just received my AP-8700 pre-amp from amazon.com today. It has resolved my issues with weak signals with a Winegard HD7695P mounted in my attic.

The only problem is the AC adapter HUMS, and HUMS, and HUMS. I can even hear it with the attic stairs closed. Disconnected the coax cable and it still hums. Tried the AC Adapter solo in another AC outlet and it hums.

Is this normal or did I get a bad one?

The Ac adaptor should not hum. Send a copy of your AP-8700 receipt to the Winegard Warranty Department via email warranty@winegard.com or by fax 319-754-0715 and they will replace the transformer.

The replacement AC Adapter arrived today.
