Unable to connect converter box

Postby majoraud » Sun Apr 19, 2009 8:25 pm

Hi, I have a 2007 Holiday Rambler Augusta B+. It has a Winegard batwing with the power booster. I am not able to get the digital converter to work with the system. There is a box with two cable connections, one says antenna and one says cable. I attach the cable from the antenna and have no problems. But when I attach the converter box I can not get any picture. Also, when I try and attach a DVD player, I do not get a TV picture. It is as if when I try and take the signal from the powered antenna to anything but the RVs cable box I get no signal. I did take the cable box off and noted that there is some type of circuit board with cables attached to the cable box. Any help you can give me would be appreciated.

I managed a work around today. Instead of connecting the digital converter box with the cable that comes from the antenna and plugs into the cable box, I took the cable that comes from the circuit board behind the cable box that connects into the back of the tv off of the tv and plugged it into digital converter box and then used the antenna out on the converter box to connect to the tv, and guess what, it worked. I had some 40 plus beautiful digital channels. I hope this helps someone else who may have the same problem.

good idea majoraud. I had to do the same thing when I first tried the converter box. I was able to later set it up, but hey getting free channels doesn't hurt either. Thanks for the post.
