freeze issues 150 miles away from the transmitter

hi there in case you haven´t noticed, i´m the guy living far, far away trying to pick something

i have received the winegard set i was expecting (hd 8800, ap 8275, could´t buy the coax, i´m using a canare 61s instead of standard rg6, as soon as possible it will be replaced.
facts: i´m 150 miles more or less from the near transmitter, i put my stuff in the roof and guess what? I ACHIEVE THE IMPOSSIBLE i´m getting a few channels (i need to do some orientation)
the thing is that i´m having constant freeze and cant realize if they are overloading, multipath, wind, orientation, this guess is because im only getting 2 or 3 stations ( all the time ) with issues but dude ALL THE TIME, sorry about capital i´m truly happy, also i bought an antenna craft 20db attenuator but i don´t see the difference from min to max perhaps isn´t working

so please, can anyone throw some ideas to solve, or at least improve the reception

Good afternoon Angell,

At the 150 miles distance that you are from the TV stations, your reception is based on weather skip and will always be an issue with the signal coming and going depending on the signal skip. When you say “I put my stuff in the roof” did you mean in an attic? If so that will reduce your signal by at least 50% or more making the signal break up even more. Outside is better and the higher the better.
