GM 1518 for Dish TV

Postby tloualt » Mon May 24, 2010 5:24 pm

I am a new user of the GM 1518. Does the program guide for Dish TV have to be downloaded every time you connect the Dish server to the satellite? When doing the "check switch", is it normal to have to check from #1 to #38?

If the receiver loses signal, DISH Network wants it to re-acquire the program guide every time.

So yes, it will re-download every time you use the unit.

You should only need to run the check switch after you have connected the receiver to your home dish and moved it back to the GM-1518. Basically as long as the receiver was connected to the GM-1518 the last time it was used, it should not need a check switch run.

However, the check switch is part of the receiver and will be the same every time.
