Roadtrip with Dishnet

I install a Roadtrip with dishnet on my 5th wheel. When I turn off the receiver at night the Roadtrip continues to switch birds. If I turn off the Roadtrip power, when I turn it back on it has to go through the entire setup. This is a real pain. Is there anyway to stop the continued search, and if I turn it on why is it not still on the bird that it had been on when shut off?
