Using carryout model GM-1518, is it possible to combine the two outputs on to one cable and then split at the reciever? If so what parts (diplexer(s), splitter(s), etc.) do I need.
Thanks

Re: Dual Tuner Dishnetwork 622Unfortunately, no.
The GM-1518 toggles between the satellites to get all of your programming. Because of this the DISH Network separator that would normally do the trick, will cause the GM-1518 to fail.
Re: Dual Tuner Dishnetwork 622I have a similar question and am looking for any possible solution. I just purchased a
GM-1518 and have a Bell Expressvu dual tuner 9242 PVR(same as Dish 722). I have connected main output from satellite to dish input one and the aux output from satellite to dish input two. Receiver gets both 82 and 91 fine. However, when recording, if receiver is on one satellite and the other needs to change to the other in order to record, it will attempt to switch but doesn't find the other satellite. The GM does not toggle to the other satellite. Any ideas? I have tried just about every combination of hooking up including reversing the cable hookups and trying an SW-21 with both cables going into the SW-21 and then the one cable into either the one or two input. Running the check switch test gives me different results and switches almost every time.
Re: Dual Tuner Dishnetwork 622Make sure that you are setting the PRIMARY tuner (the one connected to PRIMARY on the base of your dish) is the one you are setting to record.
Otherwise the dish will not toggle.
