mv3500t not moving horizontally

When the unit is switched on it cycles vertically then stop and moves no more. It just sets there making a ticking sound and rocks back and forth slightly like something is hung in the gears. I can unplug the azmuth motor and it will turn freely by hand. Is the motor bad? Can it be jumped out and tested? Is there something in the electronics telling it to move in both directions at the same time? Any help will be appreciated.

I missed your post, sorry for the delay.
Does the unit move freely with the AZ motor plugged in but the power off?

There are rotational hard stops in that unit, is it pushed against one of them?

Does the unit drive the LNBF all the way up or all the way down before it stops moving?

With the AZ motor pluged in it will not spin just sets and clicks. feels like I'll break something if i force it.

With the AZ unpluged it spins freely, although I don't think I tried to spin it 360. I can move it back and forth to get a strong signal. don't think its hung ao a hard stop.\

I'm pretty sure it cycles verticaly it will stop to catch both satalites.
