Multi-switch Question

I have a Zinwell 6x8 multi-switch (DirecTV approved). Can it be installed at the interior end of the cable (A) coming from my Trav'ler Slim-line DirecTV antenna - SK-3005 or must it be installed elsewhere? If so ...where?? Thanks!
