new service on new rv

Postby kdoucette » Sat Oct 03, 2009 10:12 am

I have a 2010 Gulfstream from Gen RV. I had an in motion Winegard installed at the dealership, (about 3,000 cost) It is supposed to be "turn-key". I had Direct TV here today and got signals ALL under 40 with no locking on anything. I checked the preset switches, and the dealer says there is no possibility of errors on the rooftop installation. The installer had never done an RV before but said based on what he saw it should be automatic. Does anyone know what he is missing before I get into model #'s etc. The weather is rain today, but he says it shouldn't matter. Thanks for any help, I live in Boston but went to OH for purchase so bringing it back is not really an option.

There are many things that it could be.

The first thing to check is the receiver setup. Make sure that your receiver is set for a 2 satellite oval unless this option is missing then choose 3 satellite oval.

If this isn't the solution, please call us from your RV at:
