Trav'ler 1000 questions

I have two questions with regards to my Trav'ler 1000 for Dishnetwork:

1. When I am parked in an area with trees , can the trav'ler lock into just one of the three satellites? For instance, if it can find 119 and not find 129 or 110, will I be able to just watch programming from that one satellite. Or does it have to find all three to function?

2. If the trav'leris not able to find any satellites, can I still use it to find local digital channels . If so , how do I do that? Right now, if it searches for 10-15 minutes and does not find anything, I power it down. But then I do not know how to find the local digitals.

Yes, if trees block 2 of the three satellites, the TRAV'LER will still lock onto the one it can find.

However, the TRAV'LER gets any local channels it might get from the satellites, if the satellites are blocked, it will not get programming from them.
