Carryout power plug

Just finished a 35 day trip from Texas to Canada and back with our new Carryout. Very impressed with the performance and how quickly it finds the sats and the signal strength, even in Canada. DirecTV was either showing a program or downloading when I got back in the RV.

The only criticism I have is that the rubber hood on the power plug that plugs into the dome came loose within the first week exposing the red and black wires. Can this be reglued or somehow reattached? Not really too impressed with this plug assembly and afraid that if I have the cable assembly replaced it will quickly happen again. Has anybody run into this problem and is there a permanent fix? I emailed Winegard Customer Service a week or so ago but did not get a response back.
