Sensar - is it directional?

Which way should I aim the antenna if it is directional? Do the long sides of the antenna pick up on both sides?

If a station is north would I aim either long side toward north:

Yes, that is the correct way to aim the Sensar. The one thing I would point out is that the mounting bracket is the back of the antenna.
