LED light & switch & new TV requirements

Postby mouldy » Tue Jul 07, 2009 10:40 pm

We have a 2000 camp trailer. We have never tried the TV setup. We have what appears to be a Winegard crankup antenna. A wall outlet for TV in the bedroom and another wallplate in the living area that has a 12 volt cigarette lighter type receptacle, a TV coax male, and a switch with an LED light. I do not see any Winegard identification on either of these wall plates.
First of all, what does this switch do?? The switch in my unit will not slide. If I press it to the left the LED light will come on but it will not stay in that position. I will probably have to replace the wall plate setup.
Also, if i buy a small new flat screen TV does Winegard have a replacement head for my antenna that will allow us to pick up the new digital signal???
Thanks in advance for any help that you can give me. mouldy

PS Today, in better light I see that it is a Winegard system. The antenna is Mdl. RV-6004 and the wall plates do have the Winegard emblem on them.
I also removed the 12 volt power from the LED switch and sprayed it with a little WD 40, dried it ; and now it is working fine.
