RV antenna and preamp for fringe area

Postby CTRV » Tue Jun 30, 2009 10:20 pm

I have the RS-2000 on my RV but find that it is not enough for the location of my long term camp site. It only receives three stations, and one is intermittent (NBC, the only one I want of the 3). Here are the Tvfool specs for my location.

Do you think the HD-4400 at a 20' height would be enough for UHF, or would I be better off with the HD-8800 (smaller would be preferable)? I also want to use a 12V preamp since I only have 110v when the generator is running. It looks like all of your preamps except the HDP-269 require 15V. I would like to use the power supply from the RS-2000.

Before I can answer, can you tell me which of these channels you are interested in. This way I should be able to tell you which antenna will better suit your needs.
