d.c. power for controller SK7002

Postby dadsdelivery » Tue Dec 04, 2012 10:56 pm

Is the D.C power for the controller 12 volt , and could it be wired to the RV's 12 volt system ? I am making some modifications to my RV and have to relocate the satelite controller . I have no 110 volt outlet nearby , but have access to 12 volt. Can I cut off the outlet wire from the transformer and connect to a 12V source ?
Thanks

There is NO 12V power associated with any Trav'ler unit. The only way for the Trav'ler to operate is to plug the unit into 120V power. Attempting to use 12V power will destroy your unit. The transformer between the wall and the Trav'ler outputs approx. 48V.
