second reciever

Postby signguy » Wed Jun 10, 2009 6:16 pm

I have Direct TV installed in my trailer and want to add a second receiver in the bed room- Till now both TV's received satellite from the same box located in the living room. If I add a splitter where the single line comes in from the dome and hook everything up including the second receiver- I don't get a signal. As soon as I unhook the line going to the bedroom everything works normally.

Is there something I can buy to achieve what I want easily or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for your help!

Splitters will block satellite signals.

You will need to run a second coax from the dome. Basically, you need one coax cable per receiver (tuner).
