My New Dish Cannot find Satellite

I just got my new TR-6018 Fri and set it up but it cannot find the Direct TV satellite. Point has been checked as the other settings and receiver type....What can the prolem be...???

The single LNB antenna must be pointed toward the 101 satellite and is the most common reason for not receiving the signal. There is no way to check to see if you are properly pointed unless you are using some high dollar antenna pointing equipment.
However, the receiver you are using can cause issues as well. The DirecTV H25 or H34 series receivers will not work with that setup.
If you are using an different kind of receiver you are going to need to go into the Repeat Satellite Setup routine and set the antenna type for 18" round, click on the Signal Meter button and then Signal Strength. On this screen you will be able to see when the antenna is pointed properly so someone will need to watch that while you move the antenna around. The settings giving in the receiver antenna pointing screens are approximations and you will find the satellite somewhere in that general area but could be a bit up or down or left or right from the exact expected position.
