I will let Winegard chime in here, but my advice to you is not to try using a 722 with a Carryout as it simply will not function well at all. Since the Carryout can only "see" one satellite at a time and your dual tuners will be trying use different satellites at different times you will eventually hit on a failing combination. That's the good news. The bad news is that it may be nearly impossible to get a successful check switch routine done on both of the tuners with a Carryout setup.
The Carryout is fully functional when used with one single tuner receiver and will even work OK with 2 single tuner receivers (although the second one will be forced to watch programming on the same satellite as receiver one). The VIP211K can also have DVR functionally added to it for a one time fee giving you a single tuner DVR.

As Bill explained, there will be functionality issues in using a dual tuner and it is much easier to use a single tuner, but it is doable.

Basically, to expand a bit on the dual tuner/single LNB issue, your primary tuner will always be able to get whatever channel it requests, whether it come from satellite 119, 110 or 129. The secondary tuner will not have that ability. It can get a different channel from the primary tuner, but it will have to come from the satellite that the primary tuner has the antenna pointed at. For example, if the primary tuner is watching ESPN off of satellite 119, the secondary tuner can get any channel from 119 - but not 110 or 129. If the primary tuner changes to a channel that comes from satellite 110, the antenna will reposition itself to look at the 110. At this point, the secondary tuner will lose whatever programming it was receiving from 119 and will have to go to a channel from 110 to get a program up. This is true for all domed systems.

To configure this way, you must run a dedicated coax for each tuner from the antenna. There are two outputs on the Carryout - main and secondary. The main should go to satellite input 1 on the receiver, the secondary to satellite input 2. The checkswitch shouldn't be too difficult to accomplish as long as you follow the procedure located either in your manual or on our website.
