sk3005 chatter when rotating in az axis

In checking out my traveler antenna after repairs to odu and idu, I noticed that the rotation in the az axis chatters (ie. Is jumpy) for a portion of the rotation - 60-120 degrees of rotation. Is this normal or would it be advisable for me to clean/lube the plastic bearing just above the large horizontal gear before reinstalling the antenna on my motor home? Would it be permissible to use spray silicone as a lube in this location? Thank you
