Roadtrip Stationary dome

Postby BPCESAR » Sun Jun 24, 2012 12:25 pm

I have a stat. roadtrip dome on my 2011 Tiffin Alegro using Directv and have had hit and miss success locking on to a signal. Exsample: Worked fine in drive at my home. Arived at Nashville rv park site with clear view of southern sky and unable to lock on to signal after several attemps. Tried again next morning and it locked on first try. Worked fine for two weeks. Returned home and parked in the same spot where it had worked previously and was unable after several attemps to lock on to signal. This has ben my experance at several locations in my trips. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your attention to this mattter,

I'm having the same problem with my RoadTrip Mission on my new Cedar Creek. It seems like it locks on to the satellite, then the next morning - without moving the rv, we are unable to connect at all. We've tried turning off the switch to the RoadTrip, turning off the dish receive and tv, and unplugging the receiver. It seems like we have to unplug the receive every day to get it to connect again from leaving the tv off overnight.

Is there something we are doing wrong? We are turning off the tv and dish, but leaving the RoadTrip on. Should we be turning off the RoadTrip antenna every night.

Thanks!

Thanks for your quick response,
I believe it's the hr-24 HD receiver no dvr, but the point is it works some times. So i must have it set up correctly. I have read your instructions on how to initaily set up the receiver and having the tv and receiver on, then turning on the dish. I wouldn't think you should have to go the the whole setup process every time you relocate and in fact I haven't had to as long as I get the searching for satilite screen before I turn on the dish. The problem is the dish can't find a signal every time when it has an unobstructed view of the sky.
