RV TV reception problem

Postby Msp1178 » Sun Jun 10, 2012 7:45 pm

Hello,
I recently purchased a 2000 fleetwood Bounder motorhome with Panasonic tv & VCR & unknown brand push button video control box - system is original to this motorhome.

Powered up the TV and antenna while parked in my driveway and was able to receive several local digital over the air channels. VCR will not play through the TV but that is probably an unrelated problem.

Took the rig on first trip approx 115 miles east to town of Scituate, Ma to a campground. Was unable to pick up any signals despite the fact that there were many more available channels than where we live.

When we returned to home, I powered up the tV again and was able to receive local channels again without problem. I am stumped! Any advice much appreciated. I'm old school and have no desire to upgrade to a satellite system. Mainly want TV on the road for news, weather and any old movies I can get.

Thanks
larry

If it's all original equipment then you would not be able to receive ANY digital TV with the original TV's. Do you have new TV's, a digital to analog converter or none of the above. Do you have a Sensar antenna (Batwing) on this coach? Have you added the Wingman add-on? Did you do a new channel scan at the new location?
