Installation of Wingman Antenna

I purchased a Wingman to add to my 9006 antenna. With the wingman came 4 small black screw-in type plastic rivets. The instructions with the Wingman said no tools were needed for installation, but the black plastic screw-in rivets are not big enough to hold in the holes on the 9006 when I remove the white rubber plugs. Even when I screw the head of the black plastic rivets to the end they are still not big enough to hold the wingman on the 9004. Any ideas what to do or did Winegard send me the wrong attachments????
