Me again. Those senior moments. Could the control box be the problem? Is there away to check the control box? Thanks again.

It's possible, but in a majority of situations like this it is the power supply itself. Like I said, if you have a voltage or multimeter it is very easy to test. To do so, just input the positive probe of the meter into the center of the plug and the ground on the outside.

You can see a picture of it here: The red probe is positive, the black probe is the ground: http://i.imgur.com/LZCHG.jpg

HI, We tested the wire and found no voltage, so we will look for a wire shortage (?).

Hi There is power, 48, to the box via the plug that goes into the DC IN. When the power button is depressed, there is a monetary light green flash. Then it is black again. I now assume it it the box that is not operating correctly. The antenna is less than 2 years old, so it is under warranty. How do I return/and get a new box?

mtogami,

Contact our technical services at 800-788-4417 and a technician should be able to help you through the process.

The button is a bit awkward to deal with. Be sure that you push right in the center of that button (push hard) and hold the button in for several seconds. If you push and release too quickly the display will light up for a moment and then turn itself off again.

Thanks, Bill. Windgard had me go through the press button thing. The blue light lit for a split second, and all is black. She will be sending another unit. Thanks

You now need to use the Repeat Satellite Setup routine to get your receiver properly setup to work in your RV. The setup information is available in the Owners Manual that came with your 3005 or you can find the setup information here:
