Winegard Sensar Antenna

Postby rwarren » Sun May 20, 2012 7:48 pm

Just purchased a 1993 camper with Winegard Sensar Antenna. Wallplate is sending 12 volts to the Antenna but I am getting no digital signals to TV. When I hook directly from antenna to TV and bypassing wall plate I get about 8-10 channels. Is this normal? I would think I should get better reception when going through the wall plate. Also if I continue using antenna (without) using wallplate power supply) will the Winegard Wingman "add on" benefit me?

rwarren,

By chance are you very close to your transmitting towers?

It almost sounds as if you are overamplifying your received signal, which can lead to issues maintaining programming as the TV tuner cannot accept as much information that the antenna amplifier is pushing through.

Given what you've said so far, I'd lean towards that being the problem.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
