Problem with RV wall plate/power supply

I am in Nova Scotia, Canada. With Star Choice satellite dish connected to Star Choice receiver, and connected to the television, everything works fine.
When I connect satellite input to the cable connection on the back of the RV wall plate, and the satellite receiver to the No.1 output on the front of the wall plate, the satellite signal is lost.
I thought there was a problem with the circuit board, but the dealer has replaced the wall plate with a new one, and the problem remains. Can you suggest a solution?

If this is a standard wallplate for an over-the-air antenna, you are describing normal usage. Your Shaw Direct receiver communicates to the LNB of the satellite through different voltages sent down the coax, and when it is sent through the back of the wallplate, it will cause issues as the voltage will be hindered.

If you are using a wallplate with a straight coax pass-through, then you may have a bad wallplate. I would say considering you've replaced though, you're probably pushing it through the wrong type of wallplate.

We do make a combo RV/satellite wallplate. The model number is RV-7542 and it has a coax pass-through for satellite as well as the power supply for an off-air antenna. The only other option would be to barrel connect around the wallplate to have a straight coax run from antenna to receiver.
