Wingard RV 6004 Ant.

Is there a 12 V DC source at the base of this Ant. I have a Winegard VS-604/6412 Amplified Video box.
I do not see a wall switch on the Coach any place.
I want to remove the ant. that I have and install an Omni directional ant.
What am I up against? This is in a 2005 Mandalay Motorhome 40F

The VS-0604/6412 most likely serves as the power supply for the antenna. When a coax is connected to the switchbox and the switchbox is connected to 12V power via the pigtail, it will output +12VDC to the antenna when it is selected on the front panel of the switchbox.

If everything is wired correctly, you should be able to use the existing coax hooked up to your RV-6004 on your omnidirectional antenna.

Just a friendly warning since I did just what you are considering and had to change back. If you currently have the Winegard Sensar antenna (Batwing), there is no omni-directional antenna that will perform as well as the Sensar. If you like TV, your best signal source would be the Batwing. If you have this antenna you can also add the Wingman add-on which can as much as double your UHF reception (where about 80% of the digital programming is located).
