I have a existing control cable in my coach that was factory installed, unfortunatly it will not reach the dish where it is installed, can I cut and splice the wires from the dish to the existing control cable?? :?:

919761,

We do not recommend splicing the data cable for the Trav'lers.

There is an extension cable available. The part number is CL-SK26. You can order it by calling technical service at 800-788-4417 or customer service at 800-288-8094.

I think you misunderstood, I have two control cables, one installed in the coach from inside to out on the roof and the control cable that came with the SK1000, so basicially what I have are two control cables with male ends on the roof and no way to connect them.

I suspect that if you check the cable end inside the coach you will find that that plug is the one that should have been up top. The end inside the coach should be male and I am willing to bet that it is female which will also not allow you to connect that end of the cable to the controller box.
Let me/us know if that is what you find meaning that the installer put the cable in backward.

Nope, the cable down in the coach is male and plugs in to the controller, the other end on the roof is male as well, I managed to pull enough of the cable to reach the dish, I took the cover off the wire connection and looked into it, How do I disconnect the plug in there and plug in my existing control cable? It pretty far in and I cannot quite grasp it with my fingers to disconnect it.
