Dish/direct tvMy dad bought an rv and it is equipped with direct tv antenna, how ever he is currently a dish customer. I have not crawled on top to look, but my question is can I just change out the dish and lmb's or is a totally different set up.
Re: Dish/direct tvWe would need to know more about the current antenna that is installed. Dome? Open face antenna? Automatic that operates with the touch of a button or a crank-up? Do you have an owners manual with a model number? Any details you can gather will help us give you a good answer.

Re: Dish/direct tvBill it is a open face, when i power the unit on it says SM DTV Triple Searching, it has a green Trav' ler on the top right hand corner of the unit. It pops up on its own when the power is turned on.
anything else let me know thanks. Chris
Re: Dish/direct tvPatrolman414,
What you have is a DirecTV Trav'ler Model SK-3003. This can be converted to a Dish 1000 Trav'ler by purchasing part kits RP-SK11 and RP-SK21. These kits include the necessary hardware (new LNB, reflector, LNB feed arm and reflector bracket) to transfer from one provider to another. It will also have instructions on how to reprogram the control box to tell the antenna to search for Dish Network satellites instead of DirecTV. You can purchase these by calling in to either our technical service line at 800-788-4417 or customer service at 800-288-8094.
