MS-2000 external amplifier?

Our MS-2000 power supply is lost. Can we use an external amplifier instead? Any recommendations?

This unit has a built-in preamp that requires power into the coax feed to work. An external preamp will not help out in this case. You need to supply 12-18 VDC into the power injector. The power injector will clamp the voltage down to 15 VDC.

Have you tried ebay for a power module?

Since this is the RV forum, you could try a fused cable made with RG6 to send the vehicle's 12 VDC line to the power injector. The unit draws less than an amp.
