SensarPro installation problem

Myself and a neighbor purchased a Winegard SensarPro each. Both of us have TV's off the front of the existing units. The SensarPro does not have a connection on the front so we were both going to install a new wall plate near the existing one.

Whomever designed this obviously never tried to install one. The unit does not fit in a low voltage old work box (back of the box is open). I also don't know of anyone that can cut a 1.87 by 3.3 inch rectangle hole with a 0.12 inch tab at one end and a 0.14 inch tab at the other end to hold the screws. Even if we could cut it, the screw provided would break off the tab. Why are there two Rawls anchors with the screws? There is no possibility of using them to install the unit.

If no-one has a solution, we have no choice but to return both of them.

Any suggestions?

Did you ever get any help? I purchased one today and am running into the same problem. My existing Winegard wall plate has 2 connections, one for the antenna and one for the cable. The Sensar Pro has no front connections on it so I'm forced with trying install 2 wall plates now.

I was lead to believe from other forums posts and the instructions that you just take out the old and put in the new. The instructions even reference the existing wall plate with a connection on the front.

I had the same problem with mine. I purchased a flanged box from a big box store and cut the back of it off. Worked perfect. I do not like the fact that the SensarPro does not have a coax connector built into the front panel. Requires another hole in the wall. I need that like I need another hole in the head

I apologize for the inconvenience. We do have the insert boxes available but it appears you have resolved the issue.
