SK-3005 Installation

Postby ripvwsss » Mon Mar 12, 2012 3:31 pm

I am installing an SK3005 on our small class C RV and do not have a lot of extra room to work with. The installation instructions say that there should not be anything taller than 8 inches within a 68 inch diameter from the center of the unit. Does this mean as measured from the center of the motor housing, or does it mean from the center of the 43 inch measurement of the entire unit when stowed?

It would be an area 34" inches in all directions from the center of the mount (radius).

I recently purchased a 3005. Do I also need the Ska 004 roller plate on a 2008 southwind cl a?

Frank,

I believe I replied to you through email but I will put this answer up in case other customers may find it useful:

The SKA-004 is optional but recommended for rubber or soft roofs. It is just a mounting plate that will protect the roof from the wheel on the Trav’ler possibly wearing in a groove.
