Sat tv wiring hookup

Postby Victor » Mon Jan 23, 2012 1:28 am

Just had traveler3005 dish installed for direct tv. It was connected to cat tv,s .
Problem: changed tv,s to Led-hd with new dvd Bluray. only front Tv was hooked up to ANT.
Now i need to reconfigure everything and also provide hook up to rear Led-tv. How said Tonto? Or should I look for a winegard dealer to assist?

I am not 100% sure what you are asking or what you need. If you have moved from the old analog TV to new digital TV's and you want the HD picture on all TV's then you will have to do some major wiring modifications or you will have to install a separate receiver at each TV. The only outputs available from your receiver that will provide an HD quality picture are the HDMI or Component (5 wire) connections. You could have your HD receiver setup for the main TV and watch HD there and then use a composite cable (Yellow, Red, White) plugged into a video adapter to change this output to a coax output. This coax output would then be used in the regular video control center to provide the same channel to the rear TV. This signal will not be high def. but it's still and good picture if you don't have any need for HD there.
Let me know if that's the info you were looking for or if there is some other information we could help you with.
