Antenna switch

Postby bills57chevy » Sat Oct 01, 2011 11:42 pm

I just got back from my first trip with a 1998 Wilderness 5th wheel. The TV reception was bad but the park had cable tv hookups. All the other faceplates I have seen on RV's have a switch to change from antenna to cable tv but on mine it just has a 12 volt recepticle and the connection for the cable tv. No switch. Would there be one somewhere else on the RV or is it a automatic changeover?

Thanks

bills57chevy,

It's possible that your wall plate consists of just a 12V receptacle and a cable pass-through (http://www.winegard.com/mobile/wallplates.php, TG Series on the bottom left). To make certain, you can pull the wall plate and see if there is any kind of circuit board on the back or any other coax inputs that may be hidden.
