RD-9046 Not Recieving Odd Numbered Transponders

Postby rsl_richardson » Sun Apr 12, 2009 3:51 pm

I have a new model RD-9046 that is recieving even numbered transponders but not the odd numbered ones. My reciever is a Dish 612 that works fine at home with a 1000.2 pulling in all ttansponders on satellites 110, 119 and 129. When I try using the RD-9046 and peak the signal on any of those satellites, though, I only identify the even numbered transponders. Some of the odd numbered transponders get a reasonably strong signal, but I get a "Locked - Name not Acquired" error and switching to an actual channels induces the reciever to search for the sattelite signal.

Are you using a splitter between the satellite dish and the antenna?

This is a common symptom of having a splitter in the line, if not, you may have a bad coax connection.
