I'm a little late on this post, but thanks for the info... regarding the Power Inserter. My Power Inserter is a PL-21R1-03. So according to you, this is the wrong Power Inserter. If I replace it with a PL-28 or PL-29 will it only work with the SK3005? The reason I ask is from time to time I'm in areas where the SK3005 is blocked by trees, etc. and will use my portable residential dish on it's tripod. Since this dish works now with my existing PL21R1-03 will changing to the PL28 or PL29 mess this up?

I guess I can just keep the PL21 and mount the PL28 or 29 next to it.

Bob,

We haven't done any testing with the PI21 in with the SWM setup for our systems. I would get a PI28 or PI29 to use with the Trav'ler SWM setup and keep the PI21 for the tripod.

I may have missed it, but in order for the SWM setup to work with the Trav'ler you would need the SWM 8 switch plus the power inserter.

Bill is correct. I assumed if you are using a PI with a Trav'ler system you understood that a SWM-8 and SWM splitter will be necessary.

We have only tested the SWM-8 switches with the PI-28/PI-29 and not the PI-21. My apologies for not clarifying.

I recently had the Genie/Client system put in my house. I want to utilize those receivers in my motor home. I have the SK3005 dish and the SWM 8 switch, power inserter and splitter. My question is: the SWM 8 has an input labeled "off air". Does this mean that I can run my over the air antenna through this switch and the sat receiver? If so, how? Thanks

You would not want/need to use that connection. You gain nothing over what you have now as it does not provide an OTA selection that would appear in your Genie.
The only connections you will use is the 4 inputs for the cables from the Trav'ler and then the SWM1 or SWM1 and SWM2.
