Antenna BosterI have a 1999 class A Winnabago with a crank up antenna. Does the curcuit board of an atenna boster automatically switch from cable input to antenna input depending if the power is on? I can not currently get a good picture when I connect to cable at a park. I did trace the cable input wire to the antenna booster, if I disconnect this lead and connect directly to TV it comes in clear. My booster has three connections the two at the top are connected to antenna in and signal out and the bottom connection is cable in. Is this the proper connection location? Does my booster need replacing.
Re: Antenna BosterRichard,
You are correct. The wallplate will pass through cable when it is turned off. With your problem, you need to verify all coaxes are good. I would take the coax that runs from the wallplate to the TV and barrel connect it to the coax that runs to the cable jack on the back of the wallplate. If that works fine, then you have a bad connection through the wallplate and it does need to be replaced.
