Dish settings with the carryout

Postby islapp » Mon Jun 01, 2009 9:02 pm

I just had dish installed at my house in Ohio. The tech said the receivers are set up for the eastern arc.
Satellites 72, 77, 61.5. I did not get an understandable answer as to why that is. I think it has something to do with HD coverage, but not sure.

So when I move one of the receivers from the house (VIP211K) to the camper, do I want to program the carryout to the regular dish settings, the hybrid settings, or the eastern arc ones.
I guess I dont totally understand the difference between the three settings (regular, hybrid, eastern arc) while in Ohio. If I go into Pa. or Michigan will whatever settings I am to use, change?

61.5 has some HD programing that 129 does not. 129 on the east coast is hard to receive. The problem is that with a mount on your house you need one dish for 110 and 119 and another for 61.5. The Carryout will get 110,119 and 61.5 with the dip switches set for hybrid mode. If it is 110,119 and 61.5 you want set the switches for hybrid mode.
