In order to receive the DirecTV programming you must have a DirecTV account and DirecTV receiver(s). This applies whether you are in an home or RV. Many people simply take one of their home receivers and use this in the RV. You can then connect that receiver to any kind of DirecTV antenna (including the Carryout) and receive the DirecTV programming in your RV. The Carryout is not capable of receiving the DirecTV HD programming but you will receive all of the DirecTV programming in SD.
