Mini-Max Operation

Postby Srt10 » Tue Jun 15, 2010 10:45 pm

I have installed the Mini-max antenna and am very impressed with the speed it found the satellites and the quality of the picture. My question is concerning the powering -on of the antenna. When should the 12vdc be turned off? Would it be a good practice to turn it off when the receiver is off or does it matter?
Thanks….

It doesn't hurt it to leave it on. Once the unit is locked on signal, it doesn't move again until ordered so there is not wear that will happen.

However, since it will still draw a tiny amount of power it wont hurt anything to turn it off either, you will just have to start a new search the next time you want to watch the satellite.
