Which part to which direction?

We just purchased an RV that has this antenna on it. To some this may sound like a silly question. But I don't have a clue. What I need to know is what part of the antenna is supposed to be pointed toward the city that I'm trying to view that channel? The part that is attached to the mast? The center part that is away from the mast? The ends either left of right of the mast?

I grew up knowing what part of a regular antenna to point toward the station I was trying to pick up. With this one I'm completely lost.

I believe the antenna you have purchased is a Winegard Sensar, or also referred to as the "Batwing".

If you have a Sensar IV, or Sensar III with the Wingman attachment. You would want to point the short end of the Wingman towards the station you wish to receive.

If you have a Sensar III with no attachment, you want to point the middle of the teardropped shape thick head towards the station, with the mount pointed away from the station.

Also, if you have a Sensar III with no Wingman attachment, this is an item I would definitely recommend. MSRP is $29.99 and you can find this at most dealers. It installs in under 5 minutes and will increase greatly increase your UHF (channels 14-51) reception.
